[Media Alert] Can Earnings Save the World?

Lou Basenese

Monday, July 18, 2022

I’ll confess — all the macroeconomic headlines remain downright frightening.

Runaway inflation. A too-slow-to-act Fed. Rising recession fears. A possible real estate market meltdown. The list goes on.

Of course, ultimately, stock prices follow earnings.

So in spite of all the seemingly negative macroeconomic factors, in the end, all that really matters is underlying sales and profit growth trends.

The good news? We’re about to enter the thick of earnings reporting seasons. And if insider-buying trends (which I highlighted on Friday) are any indication, we could be in store for a round of positive news. At least for certain sectors.

And tomorrow, I plan on sharing more thoughts on this topic, as well as on all the other market-moving developments of the day…

Tune into Fox Business Tomorrow

I’m honored to have the opportunity once again to join “Mornings With Maria” as a panelist for the entire show on Fox Business, tomorrow from 6-9 am ET.

I’ll be joined by guest host Dagen McDowell who always keeps the discussion lively and relevant. So don’t miss out!

If you're up early tomorrow, tune in! I’d love your support.

In the interim, head to Twitter and follow me, as I plan to share highlights and additional thoughts throughout the show.

Ahead of the tape,
